About The Artwork
"Dancing to the Tune-3" is a striking contemporary work that masterfully bridges modern surrealism with rich Indian folk traditions. Set against a luminous, vibrant yellow backdrop, the composition captures a powerful narrative dialogue between a majestic bull and a graceful dancer. The bull is meticulously rendered with intricate dot-work and traditional textures, symbolizing raw energy and strength. In contrast, the fluidly posed dancer is adorned with exquisite folk motifs—most notably a vibrant peacock pattern flowing gracefully down her back and legs, symbolizing grace, beauty, and rhythm. The striking red drapery, detailed with charming rural Indian hut motifs and kantha-style stitch patterns, anchors the piece in indigenous storytelling. This large-scale canvas is a celebration of movement, mythology, and cultural heritage, making it a captivating statement piece for any art collector's space.
