About The Artwork
Love which is moving counter clockwise in a very special way. Generally love turns clockwise, but here it is experienced in a very special manner. Year 2026. “Abstract Originals” presents a body of contemporary abstract painting that has evolved over a lifetime of searching for an authentic visual language. Across swirling forms and richly textured surfaces, these works map an inner terrain where movement, energy, and emotion are held in tension and release.
As an Indian-born artist living in New Zealand, my practice moves between cultures while remaining deeply rooted in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. The spirals, scratches, and layered grounds in these paintings become a global visual language of energy and devotion—equally at home in an international contemporary art context and in dialogue with traditional spiritual thought.
For collectors and curators, this series offers a distinctive synthesis:
textured abstract works that carry the rigor of a contemporary practice while drawing from a rich Indian cultural and devotional lineage. Each painting is an original, a singular meditation where the unseen currents of feeling and faith are made visible through gesture, rhythm, and surface.
Viewed together, these abstracts form an evolving archive of a diasporic artist’s journey—rooted in tradition, articulated through a contemporary abstract vocabulary, and resonant with collectors seeking work that bridges cultures, histories, and inner states.
About The Artist
My work is a meditation on the ecstatic pain of spiritual separation, the richness of cultural heritage, and the transformative power of love. I believe that art can be both a personal sanctuary and a catalyst for dialogue—bridging worlds, generations, and hearts. In my practice, separation from the divine is not simply sorrowful, but a profound, transformative ecstasy.
