About The Artwork
Once upon a time, there was an ancient temple of Goddess Laxmi in a village. A pigeon sat in that temple in search of shade, then as soon as he sees in front, he gets surprised. He sees that Mata Laxmi is dropping gold and silver coins from her pitcher on a plate kept below, and that pigeon bowed down to Mata Laxmi . Pigeon seeing this scene asked the goddess “Mother, what will you do with these precious coins?” Mother smiles and says – “These are of no use to me, they are for those people of the village who are facing very difficult and gruesome challenges in their lives.” Saying this Mata Laxmi orders the pigeon to go and inform the people of the village, after hearing this, the pigeon goes out to complete his work after obeisance to Mata.
