About The Artwork
This painting is from my "ROAR" series in which I am expressing human emotions through five elements of nature - Jal, Vayu, Agnee, Prithvi and Akash with lion as the soul. This particular painting - "ROAR THROUGH WIND" depicts the element AIR, projecting the emotion of Turmoil and dilema, thus, expressed through a tornedo which is symbolic of unsettling thoughts like we all have our setbacks in life, but nevertheless we all rise out from our setbacks like rising from Ashes like the Phoenix. Thus, given wings to the lion here, symbolising the rise of phoenix whose tears can heal all wounds.
About The Artist
I am a Gurgaon based self taught artist - A fashion designer (B. Des from NIFT) by educational qualification with a considerable amount of experience in the fashion industry; and I am a story teller and an illustrator by passion. My art subjects mostly comprise of fantasy elements like fairies, wizards, mermaids, unicorns, phoenix, elves, pixies, so on and so forth and also surreal subjects which are manifestation of my imaginations and the dream world that I create around myself for the stories that I write. Acrylics is the primary medium that I use to convey my imaginations and emotions on Canvas. However, for the purpose of study and expanding my horizon, I do explore with other mediums as well like watercolours, charcoal, and digital mediums too.
